We work at the interface of engineering, physics, biology, and materials science. We are an equal opportunity lab and we are always looking for good scientists from diverse backgrounds to join us at all levels! If you are interested, send Tapa an email with the information listed below.
Postdoctoral researchers: We are looking for creative, independent and hardworking people join our Lab. Expertise in mammalian cell culture, bacteria culture, imaging and image analysis, rheology, biophysics, or soft materials processing/characterization is required. Researchers from any scientific background are encouraged to apply. To apply, send us a cover letter describing your background, a short plan describing future research interests, a curriculum vitae, and the contact details of at least two references. Currently, candidates with fellowships are preferred. See NCBS website for securing a fellowship.
Graduate students: If you are a graduate student at NCBS interested in rotating in or joining the lab, send us a brief description of your background and research interests, and some times to meet. If you are a graduate student at another institution, you may also be able to do your graduate research in our lab if you have external funding; send us a brief description of your background and research interests, as well as the contact details of your primary research advisor. Currently, candidates with fellowships are preferred.
Undergraduate students: If you are a 3rd or 4th year (professional courses) student at another institution, you may be able to work in our lab. You don't need to have any prior research experience: just be curious and eager to learn and have some serious commitment! Send us an email briefly describing your background and interests, how much time you would like to spend in the lab, and what you hope to get out of your research experience.
